The filmmaker, Richard Linklater, has an amazing body of work, from the popular School of Rock to films like this and Waking Life before it that are intended for an enthusiastic niche audience that follows the present that science fiction writers prophesized in the past.

indeed, Linklater has made some cool films and with the recent re-release of Bladerunner, we nerds can revel in the dark visions of the future that we can either succumb to or battle our way to positive Utopian possibilities
